Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of forvendo.com (“Forvendo,” “the site”), including free articles, free downloadable resources, the newsletter, and paid digital products distributed through the site. By using the site, downloading a resource, subscribing to the newsletter, or purchasing a digital product, you agree to these Terms where applicable. If you do not agree, you should not use the site or purchase digital products from it.

These Terms should be read together with the About, Editorial Policy, Affiliate Disclosure, and Privacy Policy. Together, those five pages describe how Forvendo operates.

Forvendo is operated by Yongho Jeon as an independent founder-led project. Forvendo is not a CPA firm, a law firm, an accounting practice, a financial advisor, a Shopify agency, or a managed service provider. Articles, downloads, and digital products on the site are research and operating guidance, not professional advice. Important decisions that affect filings, contracts, tax, legal, or compliance matters should be reviewed with appropriate official sources or qualified professionals.

Who you are agreeing with

These Terms form an agreement between you (the reader, subscriber, or buyer) and Yongho Jeon, the operator of Forvendo. There is no parent company, no holding entity, and no third-party publisher. Contact for any question about these Terms is hello@forvendo.com.

What Forvendo provides

Forvendo provides three categories of material:

  • Free articles and research published at forvendo.com — educational articles, operating analysis, app reviews, tax-preparation content, and workflow guidance for solo Shopify operators
  • Free downloadable resources — checklists, spreadsheets, templates, and SOP outlines distributed in exchange for an email address
  • Paid digital products — SOP packs, expanded spreadsheets, operating guides, and other digital assets sold through a Merchant of Record payment processor

Forvendo does not provide consulting, agency services, ongoing managed services, one-on-one tax advice, one-on-one legal advice, or fiduciary services. Forvendo is not a CPA firm, a law firm, an accounting practice, a financial advisor, or a registered investment advisor.

Educational use only

Content on Forvendo is written for US-based solo Shopify operators in the $5,000–$50,000 MRR range. It is researched against primary sources (IRS publications, state Department of Revenue pages, vendor documentation, official Shopify resources) and reviewed under the standards described in the Editorial Policy.

Even with that care, every reader’s situation is different. Nothing on Forvendo is professional tax, legal, accounting, financial, or business advice for any specific person or business. Platform policies, tax thresholds, software pricing, and legal requirements can change between an article’s publication date and the reader’s use of it.

Important decisions involving filings, tax, legal, compliance, payment processing, or platform terms should be reviewed with appropriate official sources or qualified professionals before acting on them.

User responsibilities

Readers and buyers are responsible for:

  • Evaluating whether information on the site applies to their own store, market, or operating context
  • Checking current platform rules on the official platform documentation before relying on a workflow
  • Checking current software pricing and vendor terms directly on the vendor’s own page before purchasing or signing up
  • Understanding their own tax, compliance, and legal obligations in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Maintaining backups of their own data, files, spreadsheets, and templates
  • Reviewing templates carefully before applying them to their business, and adjusting them to fit their specific situation

Following a checklist or workflow from Forvendo does not transfer responsibility for business decisions to Forvendo.

Free resources and newsletter

Free downloadable resources are provided for personal use by the reader who downloaded them. You may use a free resource inside your own business operations. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly republish a free resource without written permission.

When you subscribe to the newsletter or download a free resource, you are agreeing to receive email from Forvendo at the address you provided. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Digital products and downloads

Forvendo may sell digital products. Examples include:

  • PDF documents (one-page checklists, SOP packs, operating guides)
  • Spreadsheets and trackers (sales tax nexus, 1099-K reconciliation, app stack scoring)
  • Editable templates (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Notion)
  • Operating-guide bundles for specific solo Shopify workflows

Digital products are delivered electronically after successful payment. Delivery may happen through download links, email, account pages, or a payment processor checkout flow. The exact format, delivery method, and access details for each product are shown on the product page or at checkout.

License to use digital products

When you complete a purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the digital product inside your own business operations. The license permits you to:

  • Open, edit, and adapt the digital product for your own store and business
  • Save copies of the product for your own backup and operational use
  • Use derivative outputs (such as reports generated from a spreadsheet) as your business requires

The license does not permit you to:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share publicly, or upload the product to template marketplaces or shared drives accessible outside your business
  • Package Forvendo assets (or substantial portions of them) into another paid product, course, or service
  • Publish the product, or substantial portions of it, on your own site or in your own products presented as your original work
  • Use Forvendo templates or content to train, fine-tune, or populate AI models, build a competing template library, or create derivative commercial asset packs, unless written permission is granted

Purchased files are licensed, not sold outright. Forvendo retains ownership of the underlying work.

Refunds and payment issues

Refund terms for digital products are designed to be reader-friendly and clear:

  • As stated at checkout, refunds may be available within 14 days of purchase for digital products, on request, by emailing hello@forvendo.com.
  • After 14 days, refund handling depends on the situation — for example, where a file is broken, missing, mis-described, or not delivered as stated on the product page.
  • Refunds may also be subject to the payment processor’s or Merchant of Record’s own refund terms and timing.
  • Chargebacks, duplicate purchases, and payment errors are reviewed case by case with the payment processor.

If a download link does not work, a file appears corrupted, or a product is not what the product page described, please email hello@forvendo.com so the issue can be reviewed. Refund timing for approved requests depends on the payment processor.

Payment processor and Merchant of Record

Forvendo may use Lemon Squeezy or another payment processor / Merchant of Record for digital product sales. When a Merchant of Record is used:

  • The processor may handle checkout, payment, sales tax and VAT calculation, fraud checks, receipts, refund handling, and chargeback responses.
  • Processor terms also apply at checkout in addition to these Terms.
  • Forvendo does not directly store full credit card numbers.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise on the product page; applicable sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout based on the buyer’s jurisdiction, as calculated by the processor.

How payment processor data is handled is also covered by the Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links and third-party tools

Some articles on Forvendo may contain affiliate links to third-party products. When a reader clicks an affiliate link and completes a qualifying sign-up or purchase, Forvendo may receive a commission from the third party. The cost to the reader is the same as it would be without the link. Affiliate relationships are explained in detail on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

Third-party tools mentioned on Forvendo have their own terms of service, pricing pages, refund policies, privacy policies, and support standards. Forvendo is not responsible for those third parties or for changes to their pricing, features, uptime, or policies. Readers should review third-party terms before signing up or purchasing.

No warranties

Forvendo is provided on an “as available” and “as published” basis.

  • Forvendo does not promise that content will be error-free, complete, current, or suitable for every reader’s specific situation.
  • Forvendo does not promise that the site, downloads, or digital products will be uninterrupted, available at every moment, or compatible with every reader’s tools or environment.
  • Forvendo does not promise business results, revenue results, conversion results, traffic results, ranking results, tax outcomes, legal outcomes, compliance outcomes, or software compatibility outcomes from following the site’s content or using a purchased product.
  • Forvendo does not promise that tax, legal, regulatory, or vendor information on the site is current at every moment; source pages can change at any time.

Readers and buyers use the site and any resource at their own discretion and responsibility. Confirm against the primary source or a qualified professional before acting on time-sensitive items.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by applicable law, Forvendo and Yongho Jeon are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption, arising from use of the site, downloads, or digital products, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the total liability of Yongho Jeon to any reader or buyer for any claim arising out of or related to the site, the content, or a paid product is limited to the amount that buyer actually paid Forvendo in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Where no payment was made (free articles, free resources, newsletter), the total liability is limited to USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be limited by applicable law, including any non-waivable rights under US state consumer protection law, the UK Consumer Rights Act, the EU consumer protection regime, or similar mandatory consumer protection rules in other jurisdictions.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Yongho Jeon harmless from any third-party claim arising out of (a) your use of the site, content, or a digital product in violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of applicable law, or (c) your infringement of any third party’s rights through your use of the site or a digital product.

Intellectual property

All content on forvendo.com — including articles, downloadable resources, paid digital products, spreadsheets, templates, checklists, graphics, and the site design — is the property of Yongho Jeon or licensed for use by him. The Forvendo name and wordmark are used as a brand identifier.

  • Readers may link to public pages on Forvendo.
  • Readers may quote short excerpts for review, commentary, education, or reporting purposes with attribution and a link back to the original page.
  • Readers may not copy, scrape, republish, translate, sell, redistribute, or repackage substantial parts of Forvendo content without written permission.
  • Purchased digital products are licensed under the terms in the “License to use digital products” section above and are not sold outright.

Do not present a product, service, course, or page as affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by Forvendo without written permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site, a free resource, or a paid product in a way that violates US federal or state law, or the laws of your own jurisdiction
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Forvendo systems, the hosting provider’s systems, the payment processor’s systems, or any other reader’s account
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, mirror, or republish the site’s content at scale
  • Misrepresent your identity, use someone else’s payment information, or commit fraud through the site
  • Interfere with normal operation of the site (denial-of-service attempts, mass unsolicited contact, exploit attempts, abuse of contact forms)
  • Remove, alter, or hide copyright notices, attribution lines, or watermarks on Forvendo content or products
  • Misrepresent Forvendo content as your own original work
  • Use purchased Forvendo assets to create a competing asset library, template marketplace, or paid product

If you violate this section, Forvendo may suspend your access to the site, revoke product licenses without refund, and refer the matter to appropriate authorities.

AI and automated use

Forvendo is generally accessible to readers using normal browser, search, and personal AI-assisted reading workflows.

  • Readers may use public Forvendo content for personal research and ordinary AI-assisted reading or summarisation.
  • Bulk scraping, dataset creation, or training of AI models using Forvendo content (free or paid) is not permitted without written permission from the operator.
  • Purchased digital products and templates may not be used to train, fine-tune, or populate commercial AI systems, build competing template libraries, or create derivative AI-generated commercial asset packs, unless written permission is granted.

How Forvendo itself uses AI in content production is described on the Editorial Policy page.

Changes to products or the site

Forvendo may update, revise, rename, repackage, or discontinue articles, free resources, or digital products over time.

  • Whether updates to a paid product are included is described on the product page at the time of purchase. Where the product page states that updates are included, prior buyers receive updates as described there.
  • Where the product page does not describe updates, purchases are for the version delivered at the time of purchase, and updated versions may be released as separate products.
  • Where a paid product is materially restructured into a new version (for example, a new annual edition), the product page or a release note may describe access, discount, or migration terms for prior buyers.
  • Forvendo may also remove or replace older articles as part of normal editorial maintenance, in line with the update cadence described in the Editorial Policy.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as tools, services, business practices, or legal requirements change. When these Terms are updated, the “Last updated” date in the frontmatter at the top of this page is revised. Material changes may also be reflected on the page with a short summary of what changed, and newsletter subscribers may receive a brief note.

Continued use of the site or purchase of a digital product after a change to these Terms indicates acceptance of the updated Terms. Minor edits (typos, link updates, structural improvements) are made without notice.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are intended to be interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea, where the site operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. However, if you are a consumer located in the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, Australia, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rights, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable local consumer protection law or under the checkout terms of the payment processor.

Before starting any formal dispute, please contact hello@forvendo.com so the issue can be reviewed and, where possible, resolved directly. Many concerns about downloads, refunds, license scope, or content corrections can be handled by email within a normal working week.
