Affiliate Disclosure
This page explains how Forvendo may earn money, how commercial relationships are handled, and how readers should interpret recommendations on the site.
Plain summary:
- Forvendo publishes free educational resources for solo Shopify operators.
- Forvendo may sell digital resources (checklists, SOPs, spreadsheets, templates).
- Forvendo may earn affiliate commissions from software or ecommerce tools when readers sign up through tracked links.
- Reader trust is more important than short-term commissions. Editorial conclusions are not for sale.
This page is the long-form disclosure. Articles that contain affiliate links should also carry a short inline disclosure next to the link itself. The short version is designed to be visible without scrolling to a footer.
Short version (for article headers)
Disclosure: Forvendo may earn a commission if you sign up through some links on this page, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate compensation does not determine what we cover.
The full long-form version follows below.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that identifies Forvendo as the referrer when a reader signs up for, or purchases, a third-party product. When the sign-up or purchase qualifies under the vendor’s program rules, Forvendo may receive a commission.
Three points readers can rely on:
- Some links on Forvendo may be affiliate links.
- If a reader clicks an affiliate link and then signs up or buys, Forvendo may earn a commission.
- The reader should not pay extra because of the affiliate link, unless a specific program works differently and that difference is noted inline.
Affiliate links are intended to be disclosed near the relevant link or section, in plain language. Some programs pay a one-time amount per qualified sign-up; others pay a recurring percentage of the subscription as long as the customer stays. Where the difference matters to the recommendation, the article notes it inline.
Current affiliate status
As of May 21, 2026, Forvendo does not currently disclose active affiliate program participation on this page. This section will be updated when a program is active and relevant to published content.
Forvendo does not publish affiliate links for programs that are closed, unavailable to Forvendo, or not approved for our use. When the first active program is added, this section will be reformatted into a simple table:
| Program | Category | Relationship | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| (none currently active) | — | — | — |
The list above is intended to be reviewed periodically, especially before publishing or updating articles that contain affiliate links. If a program is added, paused, or dropped, the change should be reflected here before any affiliate link to that program appears on the site.
Potential future relationships
Forvendo evaluates affiliate programs only for tools that fit the solo Shopify operator audience at the $5,000–$50,000 MRR band. Categories that may be considered in the future:
- Ecommerce operations software
- Email marketing and newsletter tools
- Landing page and CRO tools
- Subscription billing and recurring-payment tools
- Analytics, reporting, and operations dashboards
- Workflow, automation, and integration tools
Listing a category here is not a commitment to enroll. A program is added to the “Current affiliate status” table only after it is reviewed against the criteria below and approved for Forvendo’s use.
Editorial independence
Affiliate compensation does not determine editorial conclusions on Forvendo. The standards are:
- A tool may be mentioned in coverage without any affiliate relationship.
- A tool may be excluded from coverage even when an affiliate program exists, if the tool does not fit the audience or the article’s decision context.
- Forvendo may recommend not buying a tool when the operating case is weak, when the price is wrong for the band, or when a free or built-in alternative does the same job.
- Forvendo does not run pay-for-placement coverage, sponsored ranking, or pay-for-positive-review arrangements. If any such arrangement is ever introduced, it should be disclosed clearly at the top of the affected page and excluded from articles presented as editorial.
- Negative or skeptical assessments of affiliate-linked tools are published when the evidence supports them. A recommendation that changes after publication because a vendor raises prices, alters terms, or removes a feature may lead to a dated update note or correction note on the affected article, depending on the materiality of the change.
The longer version of editorial independence is on the Editorial Policy page.
Digital products
Forvendo may sell digital assets directly. Examples include:
- One-page operating checklists (PDF + Google Sheet)
- Standard operating procedure (SOP) packs
- Spreadsheets and trackers (sales tax nexus, 1099-K reconciliation, app stack scoring)
- Editable templates (Notion, Google Sheets, Google Docs)
- Operating guides for specific solo Shopify workflows
These are educational operating resources. They are not legal, tax, accounting, financial, or professional advice for any individual store. Purchase terms, refund handling, license scope, and acceptable use are governed by the Terms of Service.
Forvendo may use a Merchant of Record payment processor (such as Lemon Squeezy) to handle sales tax, VAT, and global payment routing for digital products. The payment-processing relationship is operational, not editorial. If Forvendo ever uses an affiliate link to a payment processor or any tool covered editorially, that relationship is disclosed before the link appears.
Sponsored content
Forvendo does not currently publish sponsored posts or paid placements. Affiliate commissions and sponsored content are different things and are treated differently on the site.
If sponsored content is introduced in the future, it should be:
- Labelled “Sponsored” at the top of the affected page, in clearly visible text
- Excluded from any comparison, ranking, or decision-context article that is presented as editorial
- Subject to the same factual standards as editorial content — sponsors do not get to publish claims that have not been verified by Forvendo Editorial
Any introduction of sponsored content will be reflected on this page before the first sponsored item is published.
Reviews and recommendations
A tool is considered for coverage on Forvendo when it scores well on the following criteria, taken together rather than individually:
- Relevance to solo Shopify operators — the tool fits a one-person operation rather than assuming a team
- Practical operating use case — there is a specific workflow the tool actually improves
- Cost relative to $5K–$50K MRR stores — the price is reasonable at that revenue band
- Implementation complexity — setup is achievable in a single evening, not a multi-week project
- Time savings — the tool saves more operator hours than it consumes in administration
- Risk, lock-in, and maintenance burden — what happens if the operator wants to stop using the tool, and what ongoing maintenance the tool requires
Forvendo does not publish fake user testimonials, fake operator case studies, or fake screenshots of usage. Worked examples are clearly labelled as composite when they combine patterns from multiple operators rather than describing a real named store.
Reader responsibility
Commercial information on Forvendo can age quickly. The reader is responsible for verifying current pricing and terms before purchasing.
Things that can change between an article’s publication date and the reader’s purchase date:
- Software pricing — vendors may change tiers, prices, or feature limits
- Affiliate terms — payout rates, cookie windows, and approval requirements may change
- App features — capability may be added, removed, or moved to a higher tier
- Platform policies — Shopify, payment processors, and other platforms may update terms
- Tax and compliance context — federal or state thresholds may shift
Before purchasing any tool covered on Forvendo, readers should verify the current pricing, terms, and suitability on the vendor’s own page. Affiliate links on Forvendo do not override the vendor’s stated terms.
